Weddings are always an honour and a privilege. Shooting nearly 200 throughout my career has been magic. Sometimes I get the extra privilege of photographing my friends… and that adds an unbelievable dose of magic. To see the people you know committing to each other and starting a new chapter is nothing short of a miracle. Anna and AJ, what a day… We laughed, we cried, we laughed until we cried and we cried until we laughed. I started the day at Anna’s Grandma’s House where the girls were getting ready. It was a LOT of fun. I do love that stage of the day… it has the buzz of a group of girls getting ready to go out with an unbelievably exciting layer of anticipation. And that was the vibe for this day – excitement. Anna’s sister and Grandma helped Anna into her dress and quite frankly, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. Anna shone, and she continued to shine for the whole day. As Anna walked up the aisle you could see the guests all break into huge smiles. And of course the biggest smile of all was from AJ as he saw the first glimpse of his very soon-to-be wife. After rings, vows and kisses were exchanged we all headed out of the beautiful Our Lady’s Church in Chesham Bois to head to Hazeldene Farm. The marquee was beautifully dressed and the finishing touches were all super cute and very personal. The flowers, by Rebecca Marsala, were a stunning collection of colours – a real feast for the eyes. After some seriously epic speeches and a cheeky game of heads and tails the night really started to get underway. Just as the sun started to set over the farm, I stole Anna and AJ away from their guests. I’m sure you’ll agree that the amazing sunset was the perfect backdrop for a few final photos. Anna and AJ thank you for being so fabulous, thank you for an amazing day, here’s to many years of happiness. Love, Faye x
