Rosie & Freddie’s English Countryside Wedding

When I first met up with Rosie & Freddie to talk about their English countryside wedding, I knew immediately that I would love this event. It was set to me at Freddie’s family home with a ceremony run by Freddie’s brother, their black labradors as the ring bearers and all of their friends and family from all over the world. It sounded like perfection and I can tell you that it didn’t disappoint – AT ALL. When I hopped into my car at the end of the wedding day I felt full to the brim with love, fun, giggles and joy. It was such a special day and was a privilege to photograph.

I kick started the day with Rosie and her girls getting ready at a hotel in Marlow. Rosie is the epitome of a calm bride. She quietly and gracefully got ready and looked a picture of perfection when she stepped into her gown. I left Rosie and headed over to Freddie’s home which was a hive of activity. The outside ceremony was going to be perfect! An outdoor ceremony in this country used to be totally unheard of but wow, it was incredible! Freddie and the dogs were ready, looking very dapper and as guests filed into the farm the excitement levels really multiplied. As the girls slowly arrived in cars along the gravel driveway, a silence came over the group. And what a perfect ceremony. It was funny, emotional and full of love. Not a dry eye in the house.

After the ceremony guests were treated to a champagne and oyster reception by the lake and I was able to photograph these wonderful families in stunning surrounding. Finally guests were called in for the wedding breakfast which was in a truly incredible marquee overlooking the rose gardens. After a delicious meal we were treated to an incredible series of speeches. After which the doors to the marquee opened to reveal a separate desert marquee! You will know if you’ve read my blogs before that I love cake – so a whole marquee dedicated to cake was a dream come true for me!

After cake cutting it was time for fireworks and as guests oooed and ahhhed I knew this wedding was a special place to be. Rosie and Freddie you are both amazing. The hospitality you and your family showed me was amazing and I consider it a huge priviledge to have been able to photograph such a wonderful day.
