AYNHOE PARK WEDDING PHOTOS – ED & RIAH
When I first met up with Ed and Riah to talk about their Aynhoe Park wedding photos, they told me that their wedding was going to be a party. They told me that from start to finish it was going to be 100% party vibes. My goodness me they were NOT joking. When I got in my car at the end of the wedding my face actually hurt from smiling and laughing so much. Such good fun, amazing atmophere and such a strong sense of family and friendship bonds. Oh and Ed & Riah are literally the nicest people I could ever wish to work wish (and unbelievably photogenic!) What more could I ask for?!
We kick started the day with Ed and his friends with a few round of clay pigeon shooting on the lawn. The sun was shining and the cocktails were flowing. Upstairs, Riah and her girls were getting pampered to perfection ready for the most stunning outside ceremony. An outdoor ceremony in this country used to be totally unheard of but wow, it was incredible! As the girls slowly walked down the beautiful aisle it was like we were on a paradise island. The ceremony was like something from a fairytale… the flowers, the sun shining and Ed’s face when he saw Riah.
After the ceremony guests were treated to a champagne and oyster reception on the lawn followed by an exceptional round of speeches. It’s true that I’m a crier, I cry at every wedding, but this wedding really got me. The bonds of this family are tight and this really showed from 3 absolutely brilliant speeches.
Finally guests were called in for the wedding breakfast and this is where the party really started. The Function Band were waiting for guests and rather than the usual ‘find your seat, dinner will be served’ people were standing on chairs, singing from the top of their voices. It was right up there as one of my favourite wedding moments of all time. If you’ve never seen The Function Band then you need to find a reason to, they are truly fantastic and I even found myself bopping along while I crawled through the crowds to take pictures. They continued to play between each course and then absolutely smashed it when guests were invited into the orangery.
At that stage I realised the party had really only just begun – before long Riah was on the mic leading the crowd in a singalong and Ed was joining in dance routines with the singers. Just an absolutely winning party of epic proportions.
Ed and Riah you rock. You know how to party and you brought that in abundance to this utterly brilliant wedding. Loved it beyond words.
