It seems like years ago that I met Alex and Matt at a little pub in Old Amersham to see whether I might be the right Notley Abbey Wedding Photographer for them. Immediately I knew that I wanted to shoot their wedding. Not only did their plans and ideas sound stunning, they also seemed exactly the kind of people I love to be around. True to form, on their wedding day, Alex and Matt were a dream to be with. Alex beamed ALL DAY and she really has the most beautiful smile that could light up any room.
I started on the morning with Alex and her lovely sister Ellie at Notley Abbey where the girls got ready. In the bridal suite there was the most lovely atmosphere of excitement and when Alex finally stepped into her incredible gown there were smiles all around.
The wedding ceremony was at Dinton in the most beautiful church. As the newlyweds said their I Do’s the packed church looked on and a huge cheer let out when they were finally pronounced husband and wife. Alex and Matt were greeted by (possibly the longest ever!) confetti tunnel. As guests headed back to Notley Abbey we stayed back in the churchyard to take a few shots. The colour of the stone was the perfect backdrop for their couples portraits.
We also stopped off at the infamous Notley Abbey driveway for some more pictures before joining everyone back at Notley Abbey for a champagne reception.
Alex and Matt thank you for such a wonderful day, I loved every moment.
