Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Vera Wang Spring 2017 at their London store. After seeing the launch film of the collection I knew I was going to be in for a real treat. The film, created by director Gordon von Steiner, is a cinematic dream filled to the brim with drama, passion and of course the signature Vera dresses we have come to love. The scene of the bride at the alter is really something very special.
Being a fashion designer, Vera Wang always injects such forward thinking designs into her collections and Spring 2017 is no exception. It feels Elizabethan, it feels Shakespearian, it feels boudoir. But it still feels like Vera Wang.
As well as the big impact pieces, Vera has brought us some moodier baroque inspired gowns. There is also boudoir inspiration in the collection which sports a bustier top. Brides who crave frothy layers of tulle or the pretty floral touches will be delighted.
Thank you Katy and all of the girls at the lovely Vera Wang store for allowing me to come along and take some pictures of this beautiful collection. I can’t wait to see them in action at a real wedding.
