Liz and Andy’s Lillibrooke Manor wedding was a visual feast, a photographers dream. There was so much detail, so many lovely touches and such an overwhelming sense of fun and enjoyment.
I started the morning with Liz and her maids getting ready. Liz wore a stunning off the shoulder iridescent silk Vivienne Westwood gown with Jimmy Choo shoes. Her fabulous necklace was a Jenny Packham creation and her bag was by Kate Spade. Hair and make up was by Lauren of Gemma Sutton.
The theme for this wedding was food and travel – two of Liz and Andy’s passions and pretty much the backdrop of their relationship (sparks flew over a giant pot of mango chutney). Her hot air balloon bag was inspiration for them that tied in their passions and hence a theme was born. The photo booth was a hot air balloon basket (a la the film Up), the table plan was mini hot air balloons, there were postcards for people to create personal messages and there was a personalised papier mâché globe. The cake, I must mention the cake – it was a rice crispy/rocky road/marshmallow/sweets and chocolate tower made by Liz. It looked absolutely amazing, such a wonderful creation from Liz. But it didn’t stop there – just look through the pictures to see the car and effort that Liz ploughed into this fabulous day.
The ceremony barn was dressed to perfection with so many colourful details and offered a lovely backdrop to a lovely ceremony. After the I Do’s, Liz and Andy were greeted by handfuls of confetti and a drinks reception on the lawn. Guests were then invited into the barn for a delicious feast. Liz and Andy created the most delicious menus based on their favourite foods on their favourite travels.
Liz and Andy then opened the bouncy castle with a ‘first bounce’ before taking to the dancefloor for an amazing performance. Their guests clapped and cheered as Andy whizzed Liz across the floor.
