Langley Park is one of my favourite local walks so naturally I was delighted when Rachel suggested it as the venue for their engagement shoot. It really has everything – beautiful views, colourful flowers, secret gardens and lots of space to walk and talk. For me, the whole idea of the engagement shoot is to break the ice and to help all of us familiarise ourselves with each other. Typically, humans don’t enjoy the idea of having their picture taken. It’s not a natural place to find ourselves, staring down the lens of the camera. During my engagement shoots I take the time to learn more about my couple, what their wedding plan is, their likes and dislikes and the overall look they want for their wedding. Not every pose suits every couple and the engagement shoot allows us to try different concepts in a risk free place.
Thankfully, Rachel and Matt were complete naturals. Despite neither of them ever having been in front of a camera they were instantly at ease and giggled their way through the whole session. We talked more about their amazing wedding plans and I’m more excited than ever. Only a few weeks to go xx
