Notley Abbey weddings are up there with my favourites. The venue has such incredible history having once been home to Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. They were known for throwing lavish Hollywood style parties and inviting exclusive guests such as Marilyn Monroe. This history offered the perfect backdrop for Joanne and Dominic’s Hollywood inspired wedding. Joanne wowed guests with her meticulous design. Every single aspect of this wedding was completely on point. The floral displays were magnificent, especially the doorway arch and the giant martini glasses. The barn was adorned with drapes, huge table centres, jewelled goblets, pearls and diamonds. It was truly breathtaking.
Joanne wore a beautiful Justin Alexander satin gown and Jenny Packham shoes. As you will see below she absolutely oozed glamour. When she walked into the ceremony room she beamed from ear to ear when she saw Dominic. The ceremony was lovely and the room erupted in applause when Dominic finally kissed his bride.
To say that we had four seasons in one day would be an understatement but thankfully when the ceremony finished we were able to enjoy drinks and canapés on the terrace. Slowly the sun came out and just before Joanne and Dominic were called into their wedding breakfast the sun was shining. Following a delicious banquet and great speeches, guests were treated to some brilliant live music and a night of dancing.
Joanne and Dominic, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day. It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you both and I wish you all the very best for many years of happiness.
