Goodness me, what a year! I’ve just spent the last hour or so reading through my blogs from 2015, reminiscing about so many lovely people and so many lovely places. I consider myself so lucky to call this my job; I feel blessed.
This year I have shot weddings at so many fabulous venues – Dartmouth House, Lillibrooke Manor, Newland Hall, Botleys Mansion, St Clere’s, Leez Priory, Cain Manor, Longstowe Hall, The Crazy Bear, Fetcham Park and Kew Garden to name a few. I’ve shot weddings in tipis, in barns, in marquees, in castles and even on the beach.
On a personal level I have undertaken assignments in France, Belgium and Portugal. All personal assignments this year have been on film and I’ve loved getting to know my medium format and 35mm cameras even better. Working with film continues to make me a better photographer and my approach is changing for the better over time.
Business-wise I have mentored some great up-and-coming photographers and supported them through the launch of their business. I have also joined a photography training school, The Trained Eye, as a trainer and will continue to help and support new photographers over the next year. This is something I absolutely love doing.
I hope you enjoy looking at my year in photos. Thank you to the wonderful couples and families who chose me to photograph their special moments, I am always so honoured. 2016 is going to be a special year for me for so many reasons. Thank you to my friends and family who support me and my photography, you know who you are and you know how special you are to me.
