Botleys Mansion weddings have long been a favourite of mine. It feels grand, opulent, palatial yet so personal and so charming. The colour of the stone is the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding and thankfully the weather was kind to us.
Alice and Gareth were both getting ready when I arrived at Botleys and were in very high spirits. After torrential rain the day before I think everyone was grateful that the sun was shining. The ceremony room looked stunning and the walls were a perfect match for Alice and Gareth’s colour scheme. Alice wore a lace, jewel encrusted dress, a lace edged veil and sparkly gold Dune shoes. Gareth wore a royal blue 3 piece suit and superb pink bow tie.
The ceremony was lovely – a few giggles, a few tears and lots of laughter. Afterwards the guests made their way to the beautiful steps at the front of the house and Alice and Gareth were greeted by plenty of confetti and cheers. After a sun drenched drinks reception guests were treated to a delicious banquet in the orangery which was decorated to perfection by Alice. The table pieces, the flowers, the colours were all beautiful. After some lovely speeches Alice and Gareth took to the floor for their first dance as Mr and Mrs Olds and were quickly joined by their friends and family.
Alice and Gareth thank you so much for such a fabulous day. It was perfect in every way and I wish you many happy years of marriage x
