To say that it rained on Sarah and Glen’s wedding day would be an understatement. It literally rained non-stop. I am however delighted to say that this didn’t stop Sarah and Glen having the best day. Thankfully they had chosen Plum Park in Northamptonshire for their wedding which is actually perfect should the weather be unkind. I’ve shot a few Plum Park weddings and I knew that there was plenty of space for everyone to drink and be merry, albeit around the open fire!
The morning started with Sarah and her maids getting ready at Sarah’s parents’ home, just a stones throw from the church. Lots of giggles, plenty of bubbles and perhaps the odd tear. Sarah was driven to the church in her Dad’s immaculate red Austin Maestro. Polished within an inch of it’s life it was the perfect carriage.
Sarah was just so excited when she arrived at the church. After a swift exit from the Maestro she was eagerly waiting at the church door. The ceremony was absolutely superb – funny, emotional, intimate and filled with the sound of Sarah and Glen’s hymn choices. They chose hymns from their school days which was ace – I found myself remembering virtually all the words to ‘Shine Jesus Shine’. An absolute 90s school classic.
Our beautiful couple danced back down the aisle to ‘National Express’ and made a run for the Maestro whilst being scattered with confetti (and rain!)
Plum Park offered the perfect welcome and ensured the rest of the day was filled with great food, great drink and an awesome party.
