As a photographer it’s ridiculously exciting to work at new and fabulous venues. Aynhoe Park is exactly that, fabulous. It’s a proper jaw dropping moment when you walk through the gates… The house itself is stunning and poised in the most beautiful Oxfordshire village. Charles the Butler greeted me at the front door and for once I was speechless. Daisy & James said they just fell in love with it when they visited and I can totally see why, it’s utterly amazing. Just for starters there’s an alligator in a top hat, a polar bear wearing flight goggles, a giraffe in a fez and a dalek. It’s seriously off the dial.
Daisy started her day with some treatments at Aynhoe’s Spa and was then pampered to perfection by her hair and make-up team. The bubbles were flowing and the sun was shining. She wore a Sophie Kokosalaki dress and a cute pair of Balenciagas. She rocked the grecian look with her beautiful bouncy curls.
The ceremony took place in Aynhoe Park’s amazing Orangery which had been dressed with the most fabulous balloons. Dinner followed with some beautiful and teary speeches and a wonderful feast. This included cocktails named after Daisy and James, which everyone said were superb. Special mention has to go to the utterly fabulous Choccywoccydoodah cake which featured gold stars and flamingoes, a definite highlight! Also the Wild Boys, an 80’s tribute band who had everyone dancing along to the classics.
Thank you Daisy and James for letting me capture your big day. I loved it, every moment x
