Michelle and Jonathan chose London for their engagement shoot. To be precise, the suburb of Pitshanger Lane in Ealing.
It was a super relaxed affair with a stroll through the park followed by a coffee. This is my ideal format for an engagement shoot and perfectly allowed Michelle and Jonathan to relax and actually enjoy it.
I really believe in the power of an engagement shoot. For anyone wondering why you might chose to have one…. I thought I would put down my thoughts on them. Most of us don’t enjoy the idea of being in front of a camera and most of us think by not having an engagement shoot it means there is less of the painful camera time. An engagement shoot can completely change the way you think and feel in front of a camera. I’ll be honest, the first minute or so can feel strange and unnatural but after that you can and will enjoy the experience. 100% of couples who have an engagement shoot with me say that it helped massively on their wedding day. It helps break the ice, we try shots and poses and positions and see what works and what doesn’t. Not everything will suit everyone and an engagement shoot is a great place to find this out. On a wedding day we are almost always bound by a time schedule – it’s the complete opposite during an engagement shoot. Plus, you get some more super cute images of you both that you will cherish throughout the years.
